Haugtun is an old smallholding with roots going all the way back to the middle ages. A lot of people have lived and worked here for hundreds over years. Here we are, close to the sky, in beautiful nature, with traces of time.
The property consists of nine buildings: Johannesgården, drengestua, the brick house, the guesthouse, the workshop, the post office, the storehouse and the barn. The oldest building is «drengestua» that goes all the way back to the 18th century, and the guesthouse was finished around 1920. The farm was in operation up to 1950, and has since been a health center, a union center for the Norwegian Christian Student Society, and later a place for courses and accommodations led by a group of union members. We bought the place in 2017 – Jarl Øyvind Johnsen and Anita Belinda Halvorsen Haugtun.
We are keeping our gates open in the coming future, whether you want a simple overnight stay or rent the place over a longer period. Here, you will find peace and time for you love dones in charming surroundings.
We can assist you with necessary technological equipment, a rich variety of board games and wood for the fireplace. We even have a sauna that our guests can enjoy.
